FAQ
FAQ

All-trades professional one-stop services on pleasure craft and commercial vessels since 1963

1. How much does it cost to haul my boat?
The cost varies depending on the length and whether we haul it up on the railways or the travel lift. There are also variables depending on the type of hull you have. Call for an estimate.

2. How much does it cost for pressure washing?
We do not charge by length of vessel and since some hulls are fouled more than others, it is impossible to give a quote before hauling.

3. Can I work on my own boat at your yard?
No, we are not a "do it yourself" yard, however wo do encourage the owner to be present as to see what is involved in the repair process.

4. Can I supply my own materials for the job?
Not usually, we have suppliers for most marine & industrial goods, and can provide it to you as needed or requested.

5. Does your hourly rate vary by trade?
No, all of our employees are "multi trade" workers, therefore are hourly rate is the same no matter what job they are doing?

6. Do you do engine mechanical work?
No, however in most cases we can suggest a local firm depending on the make of engine.

7. How much does it cost for lay days or storage days while the boat is being repaired?
Nothing, the cost of the ways or travel lift fees cover the storage or lay day fees no matter if it is for 1 day or 3 months. Once the repair has been completed, we expect the boat to be taken away promptly.

8. Do you have moorage available?
We only provide moorage for the vessels while they are waiting for a haul out and also for work that can be completed in the water.

9. Do you offer a sandblasting service?   No

10. Do you apply antifouling to the hulls?
Yes, we will apply any anti fouling paint that is available and is legal in Canada.

11. Do you paint the topsides?
We assess each boat on an individual basis. We are not experts in painting so we will decline to to do a ultra "yachty" finish.

12. How do I arrange a haul out of my vessel?
Call to talk about the scope of the work to be completed, then we will put you on our list on a first come first service basis, unless there is an emergency haul out. Our bookings can fill up months in advance so don't wait till the last minute.
